Customizable event severities when OpenView Operations events are created from System Center Operations Manager alerts - The severity level of System Center Operations Manager alerts can be mapped to any severity level in OpenView Operations as the new System Center Operations Manager alerts are forwarded and the OpenView Operations events are created.

System Center Operations Manager Management Pack to monitor the Engyro Product Connector - The Engyro Product Connector for System Center Operations Manager to HP OpenView Operations is equipped with a System Center Operations Manager Management Pack written specifically to monitor the operational status of the product connector. Any problems detected by the management pack are immediately relayed to System Center Operations Manager where automated notifications can be configured to alert appropriate support organizations.

Automatic failover to other System Center Operations Manager servers in the configuration group - Consistent with the System Center Operations Manager server hierarchy and failover capabilities, the product connector can be configured to automatically detect a primary System Center Operations Manager server failure and transfer event flow and synchronization to another System Center Operations Manager server in the configuration group.

Web Services Communication Mechanism – The Engyro Product Connector for System Center Operations Manager to HP OpenView Operations utilizes industry standard web services to communicate between System Center Operations Manager and OpenView Operations. The result is an extremely efficient communication path between the two management platforms.
